  • Year 1 Class Assembly

    A big well done to Year 1 on a fantastic class assembly all about trains and their trip to Bucks Railway Centre.

  • Year 3 and 4 Football Tournament

    On Tuesday 23rd May Year 3 and 4 played in an Under 9 football tournament at Princes Risborough Primary school. All of the boys did the school proud and played brilliantly as a team. The final scores were 2-1, 3-1 and 4-1 to St John’s meaning we won all of the matches played, making us top of the group and winners of the tournament! A huge thank you to all of the parents who have supported the boys in all of their matches and ensuring that transport is always provided. Well done boys. 
  • Art Competition Presentation

    Winners of the Princes Risborough Rotary, Art Competition were presented with their prizes during this morning's Celebration Assembly. Local artist, Dennis Syrett, who presented the prizes to our winners, was accompanied by John Biggs the Rotary President and Stephen from Art & Office, who had generously donated the prizes.

     

    Certificates of commendation were awarded to Poppy P and Liberty P. St John's prize winners, Olivia L (1st), Jessica D (2nd) and Rose S (3rd) received certificates and also prizes of some lovely art materials. Olivia was also awarded a special prize for being the best overall junior in the competition which was a fantastic achievement.

     

    The children also had their work specially framed.

    Many thanks to Stewart, who encouraged his Art Club members to participate and to the parents who supported the children.

     


     

  • Year 6 Rounders Competition

    Sat 13 May 2017

    After a hard week of SAT's, Year 6 children from the Princes Risborough Liaison Group, took part in a Rounders Tournament. St John's were represented by each of the Y6 classes and all year 6 children were involved.

    All our children played well and showed great teamwork in supporting each other. We are delighted to report that, out of the 12 teams participating, Miss Moulder's Y6 class achieved first place, Mrs Rodbourne's Y6 were third and Mrs Thomas's Y6 class were fourth. A great result for St John's!

  • Year 5 Tennis at Princes Risborough Upper School

    On Tuesday 9th May some of our Year 5 children participated in a Tennis tournament at Princes Risborough Upper School. The children all played with great enthusiasm, finishing in second place overall. Thank you to all those who provided transport for the children and came along to show their support. Huge well done to the children for being such great sportsmen and women, cheering on the other teams and celebrating the successes of others as well as their own! 
  • Dorset Day 3

    11:00 A very peaceful night, everyone slept well. Children now busy with Brenscombe activities: climbing, pioneering, abseiling, archery, lowropes, campcraft.

     

    13:30: A great morning of activities but rather windy. Now at Corfe Castle for a tour  and some sketching.

     

    16.00; on our way back to St John's.

  • Dorset Day 2

    10am: Had a good night. Children eating well - some managing 'thirds' of cooked breakfast! Now on the coach to Durlston for a tour of the country park.

     

    12:30: A great tour learning about rocks and fossils. Also found out a lot about the wildlife. Off to Swanage after lunch.

     

    17:00: Lovely afternoon doing beach study and sand sculpture then back to Brenscombe for dinner. Icebreaker activities this evening.

    Wednesday :

    12:30:

    Arrived at Studland and enjoying lunch. Off for our tour of the Nature Reserve this afternoon.

     

    16:00:

    An interesting walk along the shore and dunes. 

     

    Arrived safely at Brenscombe and settled in. After dinner we went for a walk then back for postcard writing, hot chocolate and bed!
