  • A Christmas Card from the children of St John's

    Tue 20 Dec 2016
All the children were invited to contribute to this piece of Christmas art work. Everyone really enjoyed adding their Christmas messages. It didn't take long to fill up the board!
  • Christmas Hall Displays

    Tue 20 Dec 2016
Year 5 children designed and made a series of silhouettes, based on the story of Red Riding Hood, to decorate the hall for Christmas and the New Year. The results were very effective as you can see from our photographs.
  • School Christmas Lunch

    Wed 14 Dec 2016

The children have all had a fun and festive day with our Christmas parties and school Christmas lunch. Everyone came in wearing Christmas themed mufti and helped to raise money for 'Save The Children'.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help today.

  • Christmas Performance - Hood Saves The Wood

    Wed 14 Dec 2016

On Tuesday there were two fantastic performances ( by cast A) of our Christmas Pantomime - Hood Saves The Wood. The play, written and directed by Mrs Thomas, was based on the story of Red Riding Hood - with a twist. As usual, it included cheesy rhymes; a handsome hero; a pantomime dame; a love story; some boys dressed as girls; and, of course, a dancing horse!

There were amazing performances from our Year 6 actors with some brilliant dances from the rest of the KS2 classes. The choir from Year 5 and 6, were wonderful and a credit to Mrs Insley.

Many thanks to all the staff involved in the production and to parents, family and friends who supported the children.

  • First School Christmas Performance

    Thu 08 Dec 2016
Our production of Lights, Camel, Action! has been a great success. The children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been working hard, learning their lines, the words to the songs and their dances.  The two performances were well attended, by enthusiastic audiences, who enjoyed watching the children and were very complimentary.
  • Christmas Fayre

    Fri 02 Dec 2016

Our 2016 Christmas Fayre was a fantastic success. The children enjoyed visiting Santa in his amazing grotto and they also had an opportunity to choose gifts for their parents from our Secret Room!  Once again, our year 6 children produced some very imaginative games, of a high standard, which were really enjoyable to play. The class raised over £280 to contribute to the PA event with the winning Y6 stall raising £38!

  • Year 5 and 6 Uni Hoc Tournament

    Thu 01 Dec 2016

On Thursday afternoon, two Year 5 and 6 teams went to Princes Risborough Upper School to play in a hockey tournament. All of the players were enthusiastic, hard working and had a great time.  The results were very close with the teams being separated by goal difference, where we manged to finish third. Well done to all who played and a huge thank you to the parents who stayed to support them.
