Match Report for Football Match vs Longwick
Wed 26 Apr 2017On Wednesday 26th April, the Year 5/6 football team went to Longwick School to compete in a football match. Both teams played very well and it was a very hard fought battle! The set up consisted of 3 matches of 15 mins. In the first match, the final score was 1-1 with Jonny B scoring the goal for St. John’s. Unfortunately, in the 2nd match, the result wasn’t what we wanted. We lost 3-0 but we had some good chances with Syd P hitting the post. We won the 3rd match 2-0 with Charlie C-F setting up Jonny to score the first and it was Jonny again who poked the ball through the keeper’s legs following a goalmouth scramble. All in all, it was a successful match with everyone playing really well. A big thank you to Longwick School for being great hosts and a tough opposition. Thank you to Miss Moulder for helping us organise the match and to Cliff Kemp and Duncan Collet-Fenson for coaching us for the whole season so well.
