  • Theme Week Exhibition

    Tue 28 Feb 2017

On Tuesday afternoon, there was an opportunity for parents to see some of the theme week work. Each class presented a selection of work about their explorers and it was lovely to see the range of work on view. There had been plenty of opportunities for the children to use their creativity and to work collaboratively. Reception's model of The Endeavour took centre stage but every class had something interesting to show. The event was well attended, thank you to all those parents who came along.

More work can be seen on the Class Pages.

  • Explorers Theme Week

    Sat 25 Feb 2017

We have just finished our fantastic Explorers theme week, where every class has been finding out about explorers from the near and distant past. They range from Drake, Cook and the Antarctic explorers to space explorers and Jacques Cousteau. The week has given everyone the opportunity to be creative and children have been encouraged to take a lead in their own learning. There have been opportunities for collaborative working and child initiated activities throughout the school.

More photos and work will be posted on the class pages.

There will be an exhibition of work on Tuesday 28th from 2.45 -3.30, in the hall. Please come along and view the amazing work the children have produced this week.

  • Friday Morning Assembly

    Fri 24 Feb 2017
We learned about the Muslim faith today when we welcomed Summer and Zarah to our assembly this morning. Our visitors explained how Christians and Muslims shared the same prophets from the Old Testament. They also explained about the way Muslims pray and brought in some beautiful examples of prayer mats which can be seen below.
  • World Book Day

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March with a special assembly and a number of related activities throughout the day. We are hoping that everyone will dress up as a character from

  • Year 1 and 2 Basketball

    Thu 02 Feb 2017
On Wednesday 2nd February a group of  children from year 1 and 2 attended a basketball tournament at Princes Risborough School.  Ten teams took part in total from different schools in the area.  The children rotated round a variety of stations  with different activities involving shooting, dribbling and passing.  All children developed their ball skills and  had a great afternoon.  Well done to all or took part and a big thank you to the young leaders and Pip O'Donnell at Princes Risbroough School for their support and organisation.
