Jeanette Allen - CEO of The Horse Trust

Jeanette is a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors, who began her career in the commercial sector, setting up and running her own successful recruitment business.

After the sale of the business, she moved to the charity sector as a fundraiser for the NSPCC and later Bart’s Hospital before becoming the CEO of The MedicAlert Foundation.

Jeanette became the CEO of the Horse Trust in 2010 where she has undertaken a strategic review of the Trust’s charitable aims and objectives, delivered a major re-development project and expanded the reach and effectiveness of the charity bringing it to the forefront of the Equine Sector.

Jeanette was the founding Chair of the British Horse Council, created to work constructively with government to improve the lives of horses through policy and legislation and is currently serving as Deputy Chair.

Jeanette is the Honorary President of Hughenden Valley District Girl Guides, has been admitted to the Freedom of The Worshipful Company of Farriers and given the varied and significant risk profiles within of her professional responsibilities, has taken the role of Health & Safety Governor for St Johns CofE Combined School where her daughter attends.
