Sports Day

Sports day 2019 report - By Anna and Ossian

Sports day kicked off not really how everyone planned, there was a small shower and some worried faces, but the rain quickly started to dry up and sports day was back on track. The first race was Y3 boys 100m. Just before the year 6 girls 400m race, an ambush of escaping cows manically charged into the neighbouring field, scuffing up the cricket green in the process. Sports day was subdued for five minutes while the whole school was laughing and staring.

More races happened and at the halfway stage, results were 87 points to eagles 89 points to falcons 87 to hawks and 98 to kestrels. The leader board stayed in the same order pretty much the whole way through but hawks managed to push themselves up to second place. Then it all came down to the relay. The points continued to change but in the end there could only be one winner.

In 4th place was Eagles with 183 points

3rd place was falcons with 187 points

2nd place was Hawks 194

1st place was Kestrels 216

At the end of the races, Year 6 were presented with the sports cups. These were for Boys and Girls sports person of the year as well as most improved boy and girl. These were awarded to Harry, Ronnie, Anna, Josh and Liberty. All well deserved winners. Congratulations to them all.
